Day out

Today was a day out of the valley, spent in the city. I love the drive! Went to the Aquarium by the Bay to check out the fish tunnels. Fun place, but can you say birth control? Quality people watching. Capped it off with a visit to Crissy Field. This is my new favorite stop off. The ladies at the park visitor cafe make a great latte.

Foodie

I am now an official volunteer at Whole Paycheck a.k.a. Whole Foods. They have a program where you can sign up as a kitchen slave volunteer, you do the gruntwork prepwork, and you take the cooking classes for free. Many of the instructors are pretty A+ chefs. How much fun is that?

4th & flat tires

The fourth pretty much rocked. Went to see "Hancock." Liked it a lot. Love Will Smith.
We went for a bike ride with friends along the levy to watch the fireworks at Cal Expo. It's a great view. The only down side was a lot of few flat tires. Tye & Josh were prepared with flat kits. One bike tire tube was gone, so Tye filled it with tube socks (pun intended- and stolen from Josh). Still, a very worth it day.

Done

All done! I finished it up this morning watching the news. The pic is a mock up of its shopper trips to come.

The new view from my sewing machine is much more inspiring. So much so that I started this cheery little shopper tote. Check it out- a gusset! So far so good. (Yeah, so the trip to the fabric store led to a new project. ) It's also one of Pip's hang outs.
