I'm a pro. It takes very little effort at this point for me to make a jerk of myself. So today I hit the redial button. Assuming that I knew who I was talking to, I started off in a full on rant- a continuation of a conversation we had been having just a few minutes previous. Only it wasn't the same person. Somehow I returned the call of my hairdresser and was ranting at her. It was almost a full minute in before I realized the mix up.
me "Oh, um, hi, is this ___?"
her "No, this is ___"
me "Oh, hi. ha, ha. This is me... Yes, I would like to schedule an appointment, I promise to be less of a raving bitch by then."
Bad day, good times.
